My Philosophy of Interior Design is one that simply put, improves the daily lives of the inhabitants with functional and beautiful spaces.

Interior Design is not only about "pretty spaces" but a functional and aesthetic expression of its inhabitants. Interior Design is not merely "decorating" a room which is simply the ornamentation of a space, it is a means of enhancing the day to day lives of the people who live and work there.

Beauty is subjective - good interior design is not. Any space, any style, any budget can achieve exquisite interior design with the expertise and experience of a seasoned practitioner.

About Donovan

Donovan has been an interior designer from birth. From the time he was a small child and rearranging his mother's living room and his own bedroom on an almost compulsive basis, it was apparent he was meant to be a designer. His architectural ability was seasoned by Lincoln Logs and card deck houses as a child to planning and building his own club house as a young teen.

Donovan Lord studied Marketing at Southern Methodist University as well as received his BFA in Interior Architecture and Design from Academy of Art University San Francisco. Donovan is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
